EXCITEMENT, ADVENTURE, AND LEARNING
Every Sunday morning, from September through May, we provide classes for children and adults. The adult class meets before worship at 8:30 a.m., while Christian Education for children is scheduled during worship. Confirmation classes and classes for new members are held as needed. At least once a year members are invited to go on retreat for a time of education and renewal.
Bible Study: Educational Opportunity!
Pastor Steve will be running a Lenten Bible study on the music of the Bible. We will look at the role music plays in the Bible. We will note the different instruments that are mentioned and the times that singing is encouraged. We will investigate the way that our modern hymnals have used the Bible in hymns and reflect on the role of music in our own worship. These classes will be held on the Sundays during Lent at 7:00 in the evening, beginning on March 13. Please join us.
Nursery School: Since 1983, we have sponsored the Wide Horizons Nursery School, which provides high quality, non-sectarian education and fun for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Growth is encouraged in a loving and caring atmosphere. Scholarships are available and are based on your ability to pay. For more information call 862-3433.
Vacation Bible School: Every August we gather with other local churches to provide a week-long Vacation Bible School for children of all ages. Theme for 2011- "Shake It Up Cafe". Call the church office for more information.
