About Us

Our Mission:

At the Federated Church of Maine we are gathered by the Spirit to experience faithful preaching, honest teaching, and joyous worship. We are empowered by that same Spirit to serve our neighbors through many outreach ministries including the Wide Horizons Nursery School, a CHOW food bank, a free clothing bank, monthly lunches for Senior Citizens and many others. We make our facilities available for Scouts, the Town Band, blood drives, flu clinics, AARP Defensive Driving classes, funeral lunches and dinners, and other appropriate community activities. Members of our congregation serve the broader church and the ecumenical community at many levels. We strive always to be doers of the word and not hearers only. We are a community gathered by the love of Jesus Christ to be light and salt in Maine and beyond.
